Construction: EDITING COMPLETE
In the lesson today me and my partner Josh Thorley managed to complete all the editing that we had left for our opening two minute movie. we knew it was finished because we thought there was nothing we could really add to it to make it any better, we made sure that we had finished the titles, sound and any other transitions that would make the film look good. We hope our film is up to a good enough standard to be able to get us a good mark.
Construction: Video Introduction
In the lesson today decided that our film opening would much benefit if we included a introduction that we constructed ourselves. the reasons why we think it would be quite beneficial is because it will make it look a lot more professional and it will help us get the time closer to the target of two minutes. The software that we decided to use for our opening introduction is Adobe After Effects as it is a very good software for making very good results. Not only did we have to create the animation, we also had to find sound effects which would link in with the movements of the animation, this was a long, thought out process which took time however we believe we sorted out the right sound effects which matched the animation.

Evaluation: Planning
Now that me and my partner Josh Thorley are close to finishing our two minute film opening we have decided that we need to start preparing for our evaluations. we have decided as a group we are going to do our evaluation on Prezi but we are also going to include different types of media forms such as videos of us two talking about the evaluation questions.
The questions
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (i.e. of film openings)
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups ?
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
5. How did you attract/address your audience?
6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
7. Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

Construction: Day 3
In the next stage of editing our 2 minute film opening, we started to add titles and sound. The reason in why we have added titles was because we partly wanted to lengthen the time of our movie but also i believe it adds tension to the start of the film. We had added music so the start of the film did not become boring and we also believe that the music is an incredibly important part of a film as it adds tension and creates the mood of the scene. We edited our titles so that they are all the same and the font and background colour was the same so that the finished edit didn't look un-professional. We had used the colours black and white in the titles which create a negative mood straight away even if the audience haven't watched any of the clips yet, the white also shows purity whilst the black shows darkness. As you can see i have shown an image of the title in the top left corner we have kept them plain and added an earthquake effect to it
We picked the music which would fit our movie perfectly as it is one of the most important parts of the movie because as I said it creates the mood and creates tension. Although we had tried to create music on GarageBand we didn't feel we could create a good enough song which would suite the film, instead we chose music of a copyright free website called freeplaymusic.com which allowed us to pick a good composed song for free.

Construction: day 2
During the second day we decided that we start making the sounds that we would have playing during our film. The software that we we used to make the music come together was garage band. we are quite new to garage band so it took us a while for us to get to grips with it and we didn't really know what music sound would go well with each other and the video.
